The Primal Styk Longbow Series is a new introduction to a traditional favorite.  After being the first company to introduce the only reflex/deflex design, we proved that longbows could shoot smooth and fast.  Here at Robertson Stykbow we keep striving for improvements in performance and aesthetics.  With a slight deflex in the handle blended with the curvature of the reflex in the limbs, produce a longbow design with superior performance. Some of the advantages in this design are speed, smoothness of draw, minimal hand shock and vibration, as well as perfect balance and stability. 

Our way of blending the art of our historical native tribes with our longbows is with a Tribal Flare.  Tribal art has a cultural and in some cases religious, spiritual or magical meaning. The art was first done to enhance beauty, communicate stories, and decoration as well as to show the belonging to a certain tribe or group of people.  With Robertson Stykbow you can choose to blend these traditions with your hunting weapon.  Aesthetically the Primal Styk longbow series has three handle configurations from you to choose from:

• The X handles strengthens the handle and incorporates one wood type.

• The Y handle keep the same handle strength while combining two opposing types of wood on each side of the center radius or one wood type with a colorful radius.

• The Z handle encompasses the complex Tribal Arch design while using the highest quality woods that you select for this bow type while keeping the deflex strength in the handle.

The Primal Styk Series also offers a two piece take-down design incorporating a stainless steel Connexion hinge.  The optional Connexion hinge requires no tools for assembly and is an excellent way to transform the longbow into an easy take-down hunting instrument.  Over the past 15 years the design has proven its usefulness to the nomadic hunter and if your hunts involve traveling it is easily to store with your arrows in a compact manner.  The cost to have a Connexion hinge incorporated on your custom bow is $150.00.
