Technical Bow Questions

+What is the recommended brace height for my bow?
The best way to learn about your bow is to look over our care instructions.  To view the two page Robertson Stykbow care instructions, please click the button below.  [document] Download Care Instructions [/document]

+What string type is best for my Robertson Stykbow bow
Personal preference is always a factor here, but any Robertson Stykbow made after 2004 can use a D-97 or Fast-Flight string. D-97 is the best choice, it is quiet like Dacron but quick like Fast-Flight. It does seem a little ‘weird’ at first, but once you shoot it you will know why D-97 is the preferred choice. Any bow made before 2004, please use Dacron.

+Can I split up the limbs and handles? I really like this handle, but want these limbs, can I split them up?
Currently, Robertson Stykbow does not split the X, Y, Z models due to the perfect match with exotic woods.

+I want extra limbs, do I need to send in the handle?
Not necessarily.  If the bow was made after 2004 all limbs and handles are interchangeable (Recurves and Hybrids).  We do strive for perfection so if you want the best matching woods possible, please send your handle in – otherwise our pros can match any limbs to match a handle by just knowing the wood veneer and wedge types.

+What wood arrow spine is best?
The performance of your bow is greatly determined by correct arrow flight.  Correct arrow flight is greatly determined by your wood arrow spine.  To find what works best for you, please choose your bow type from the tabs below.
